Kings and Queens involves students creating mini-tests ahead of time, then trying to stump one another as they sit in the front of the classroom on a “throne”. A slower-paced game but still fun and always one of my students’ favorites. This is the first year I have taught 5th grade, so I needed some ideas for that age group. Through its dramatic rise from the ashes of its original disastrous launch and subsequent expansions, FFXIV has slowly morphed from a relatively generic good-versus-evil plot into a sprawling, fanstastical political thriller. The latest expansion, Dawntrail, may have had some growing pains as it established a compelling new era, but in its best moments it lives up to what has made this MMORPG so special for all these years. While the sequel, Doom Eternal, arguably improved on the combat by making it even more technical, for us nothing beats the relative purity and simplicity of the satisfying slug-fests of Doom. Undertale is a delightfully inventive exercise in subverting expectations.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Review
The movie’s thriller elements are given an additional gloss by the skill of the technical credits, and the wicked wit of the dialogue. When Van Orton’s brother asks, “Don’t you think of me anymore? ” he shoots back, “Not since family week at rehab.” And when his ex-wife asks if he had a nice birthday, he answers, “Does Rose Kennedy have a black dress? ” The film’s dark look, its preference for shadows, recalls “Seven” and also Fincher’s “Alien 3.” The big screen reveals secrets and details in dark corners; on video, they may disappear into the murk. Building out a strategy as you work your way through increasingly difficult “blinds” with higher points requirements is satisfying for how it lets you feel like you’re breaking the game in half, only to have the game come back at you that much harder the next time. When that inevitably happens, you need to think on your toes and modify your deck throughout the run to deal with new challenges. Jokers that may have seemed useless before can result in a sudden ah-ha moment of recognition as you take advantage of their unique strategies. And every time you make it to the end–or more likely, fail–it’s hard not to start up another hand and do it all again. Another chapter in the mind-bending Remedy universe, Alan Wake 2 picks up right where the cult classic left off more than a decade ago.
It’s an interesting concept, and this paired with a less-Eurocentric character creator makes for a game that feels slightly more global than something like The Sims, which I wholeheartedly welcome. Hair options are also on the scarce side right now, facial hair is scraggly, and I was really disappointed by the lack of and quality of black hairstyles despite the game’s perceived efforts to cultivate a more inclusive character creator. I do appreciate–and this is possibly in part due to it being a South Korean game–that the game caters far less to Eurocentric beauty standards in general.
Amvr Touch Grips Review
The potential for hijinks within this enormous sandbox of towns, outlaws, and wildlife was already nearly limitless, but the PC version factors in new missions, treasures, gear, and more layered on top of the already 60+ hours of story content in the base game. That’s not even counting all the multiplayer bells and whistles included in Red Dead Online, to say nothing of the ability to expand and customize with mods. RDR2 on PC is handily a must-play for anyone with a rig beefy enough to run it at high frame rates (even the PlayStation 4 Pro can’t force it to run above 30fps) – or even a Steam Deck. Couple that with frenzied combat and an unforgettable soundtrack, and it’s more than worth checking out if you missed it.
Many years after the first announcement, GSC Game World has delivered another adventure in the heart of the Zone. Split Fiction is the newest game from the co-op masterminds at Hazelight Studios, a two-player adventure through the many stories of two authors trapped in worlds of their own creation. South of Midnight delights with its looks and soundtrack, which is much better than anyone could expect. It’s a shame, though, that aesthetic experience isn’t followed by equally great gameplay.
